Are they sculptures or not? Quietly they stand there, larger than life, yet they don’t seem static. They live, they breathe. An air pump gently inflates the transparent creatures, inside them, visible yet untouchable, their soul: the performance artist Victorine Müller. She calls her animated creations «dream shells». Three of them – a plant, a bird and an elephant – will cast their magic over the festival site at dusk. Victorine Müller has also created the sculpture for the winner of this year’s ZKB Patronage Prize. (bk/esc)
