«Court-miracles» – what kind of miracles could this be about?  Short miracles, fast miracles, little miracles? In a war-torn country, any miracle will do – and the faster the better. The creation of Compagnie Boustrophédon, a young troupe from Toulouse, is one of those miracles. It enacts an intriguing mixture of circus, puppet and mask theatre, dance, music and clownery. In a military hospital we meet wondrous, touching figures, half human, half puppet; a ward, a nurse, various patients. They make the best of what they have left, namely their life – dancing, laughing, joking. They are artists. Survival artists. (kdi)
